Our Class II Trawler (NEW)
Our Lass II is a 21.5m twin-rig trawler launched in 2007 at Whitby for local owners Locker Trawlers Ltd. Built by Parkol Marine Engineering the vessel has been designed for catching whitefish in the Norwegian and EU Sectors of the North Sea. Many of this type of trawlers are being built however all have slight design differences and/or colours. The kit contains all the required parts to build the model: |

Tamar Class Lifeboat (NEW)
The Tamar class is the result of several years of research and development by the RNLI to produce the next generation of slipway-launched lifeboat. It is virtually unsinkable and if it capsizes in the stormy seas around the British Isles, it will right itself within a few seconds. The Tamar will gradually replace the Tyne class.
The lifeboat includes the computerised Systems and Information Management System (SIMS) that enables crew to control many of the lifeboat's functions remotely from the safety of their seats. Other features include advanced ergonomics that reduce the impact on the crew as the lifeboat crashes through waves, and a powered Y-class boat stored behind a transom door to allow immediate deployment. The Y-boat is accessed by lifting a section of the rear deck, then launched and recovered on to a ramp provided by the lowered transom door. |

Kawkab
A representaion of a Vosper Thornycroft “Kawkab Class” Fast Patrol Craft built in 1968/69 for the Abu Dhabi Government. The model is fairly demanding in terms of construction and is intended for the model makers with some experience. Fitted with the recommended motors Kawkab is capable of an exciting performance on the water. |

Motor Coaster 4-Hatch
10-hatch coaster (with mast/booms and 4 winches): The hatch is made
up of ten identical sections which slide along the top of the coaming
sides. On the real vessel the hatches are driven by electric motors
and the sections stack up against each other along the ramps at
each end of the coaming. One of our prototype models actually has
hatches which slide back under power. |

ENVOY SALVAGE TUG
The six vessels of the ENVOY class, namely Enchanter, Encore, Enforcer, Enigma, Enticer and Envoy were built and completed in 1944 for the Admiralty by Cochrane of Selby. The vessels were used as fleet tugs during World War II and fitted with a 12-pounder deck gun, two Oerlikon guns and two Colt machine guns for defence when on escort or rescue duty. |

YORKSHIREMAN SALVAGE TUG
Built in 1978 by Cochrane of Selby, Yorkshireman and Irishman were the most powerful pair of purpose-built tugs to enter service in the UK when they joined the fleet of United Towing. The tugs were been involved in all types of towing work in the North Sea oil fields and around the world. However, their finest and most famous days were without a doubt during the Falklands War when they were taken into service with the Salvageman by the Royal Navy. Their best-known exploit was in the attempt to save the container ship Atlantic Conveyor after she had been hit by missiles from the Argentinean Air Force; unfortunately this rescue attempt was not successful. |

Dutch Courage
Dutch Courage is a representation of Dutch Pride and Dutch Power, two of a series of tugs built in the Netherlands in 2003/04. Designed to operate in water depths not readily accessible by conventional tugs of deeper draft these vessels are suitable for a variety of applications including towing, pushing, supply and survey work. These tugs are fitted with a hydraulic telescoping deck crane and the rear deck space allows for the transportation of cargo, including containers. A feature of the vessels is the push-bow with heavy duty rubber fender. |
