Jules Verne The full-size Jules Verne was built in 1998 and combines the essential elements of the wooden yachts of the 1930's with modern facilities and refinements. The hull is aluminum and painted a mahogany color to reflect the original all wood construction. The result is one of the most elegant yachts of the "Retro-style" to be produced to date. The model was developed from the original plans. The length is 36.5" and the beam is 9.8". The major components such as the hull, superstructure and curving steps are made from heavy-duty molded ABS and CNC trimmed for ease of construction.. The deck is die cut wood. Injection molded parts include the windscreens, wipers, ventilators, light fixtures, and radar. |
