Phillip W. The Philip W., acquired in 1981 by Wilmington Transportation Co., is a twin-screw, 95-foot tug with a beam of 34 feet. 3500 horsepower provides 39.4 tuns of bollard pull. Our model is 1/32 scale with a length of 36 inches and beam of 13 inches. Displacement is 35 pounds. Deluxe Kit - HAR147D -Includes all subkits listed below. Basic Kit - HAR147 The hull and superstructure are fiberglass. This kit includes the hull, deck house, deck house roof, pilot house, pilot house roof, fiddley, mast and exhaust stack. The deckhouse is scribed with all door, porthole and other openings. The pilot house has the window frames molded in. The polymer fitting set, described below, is included, as are a set of photographs and plans. Polymer Fittings The polymer fitting set, made by Quartermaster Scale Ship Fittings, contains the finest fittings seen anywhere. This set includes right and left pilot house doors, three different water-tight doors (right and left for two of them), three different louvered vents, access hatches for the deck, raised hatches, fire hoses, port holes and life rings. Deck Hardware HAR1010 This sub-kit is cast in bronze and includes the bull nose, bow bitt, main tow bitt, pipe bollard for the rear deck, and four quarter bitts. Running Hardware HAR1011 The running hardware kit includes two 3°" 4-blade brass propellers, two shafts with stuffing tubes and oilite bearings, two cast polymer shaft supports, and three cast polymer rudders with stainless steel shafts. |
